Time

It's amazing how a picture can take you thru time!
In just one moment you're six years old at your birthday party
or you hear the music to the song you danced to at your cousin's wedding!
You can see everything in front of you as if you're there at that moment!
Memories pile up in your head, the good, the bad, and the ugly, and
you start to smile as you remember your favorite parts.
Pictures can do all of that in an instant!
Nothing is better about capturing the moment than when you get to enjoy them after they're all over!

The day my parents took me miniature golfing for the first time!

The first time I saw the ocean!

The day the Rangers won the ALCS!

Whether it's a self-proclaimed "Best Day Ever" or a very special occasion, nothing sums it all up like a picture!  So look under your bed, thru your old trunk, and find your memories, all over again!!!

My First Wedding!

Some of you may or may not know that it is my life long dream to one day become a professional photographer. I am working towards that with every moment I capture! And recently I was surprised (by my sweet parents) with a chance to shoot a wedding! I was soooooooooooo excited! I mean this would be like getting to play in the NFL for a high school quarterback, or baking a cake for the Queen of England when all you've done so far is make a few goodies for your friends and family! O.K...... maybe I'm blowing this a little out of proportion, but the point is I was excited, and nervous. "What are the couple like? Will they have certain instructions for me? How can I help the other photographer? How will I do during the ceremony? What lens should I use for what shot?" As you can imagine I had a "few" questions. ;) But the most amazing thing happened. Once I got there I just dove right in! It wasn't always easy and I learned some valuable lessons that have helped me immensely, but I couldn't believe how much fun I was having! I truly love doing this, and I'll be doing it for quite some time!

I just love steeples at weddings!

The low angle makes this shot so beautiful!

I'm enjoying my new lens! It does alot of new stuff I couldn't do before.

So pretty!

The detail on this dress is exquisite!

Getting ready makes great "in the moment" pics.
Cute shoes!

Isn't she adorable!

It was a gorgeous gown!

Nothing is like that stroll down the aisle.
She was so radiant!

He beamed the entire time.

Don't they look happy!
I know this isn't the best of photos, but I loved seeing him peek during the prayer.

This little girl was so shy, but she loved dancing, so I finally caught her doing her little dance!

The reception was at a beautiful hotel! They had gorgeous stained glass chandeliers!

I loved the bedazzle on her veil!
I love this one! It's so retro!

Fuzzy lights!!!!

There are always at least one or two of these at every wedding!
Can you say GOOFBALL!

My favorite pic of the whole wedding! They are so sweet together!

Now here are three of the best photos of the bride and groom.
Which is your favorite?

I hope you enjoyed this wedding because I know I did!
I especially loved it when the father of the groom called and said that the last time he spoke to the bride,
she was screaming, she was so excited about the pictures!
Loved getting that kind of feedback!
So thanks again for stopping by, and please come back anytime!
Until next time...chow!

1000 pageviews!!!!

OMG I can't believe it!

You guys are just the best! I never in a million years thought I would ever get this far with my blog! Just so you know how much I appreciate this I'm going to take you thru the history of how I happened upon the wonderfulness of photography!

Let's see where shall I start...Oh well of course! If you have visited "The Dreamer" page, I have told a little of my story there, but there is much more. After I took the picture of the windmill, I didn't see the picture again until later when I downloaded it to my computer. When I took a look at it blown up, I was just amazed at how well it turned out! After that I just started to try different things. And then it snowballed when my parents bought me my first Canon camera! A Power Shot SX10IS! I loved that thing! I went crazy! I took that camera everywhere! I couldn't look at anything without thinking, "That would make a great picture!" I would mostly take pictures of my backyard. Flowers, trees, sunsets etc. Sometimes I would get my sister to dress up and we'd go outside and do shots like in a magizine. lol! Memories! Then recently for my birthday I got a Canon EOS Rebel T3i!!! I was so surprised and excited! I never knew that I would like photogrphy this much! Yes, I always thought it would be apart of my life, but I never thought it would be this great! I recently did my first wedding and I love the on the job rush! I've been doing this for three years now, and I know I'll be doing it for many years to come!

Tennessee Part 1!!!!! The Trip Up!

Recently, I had the great privilege of going to the music capital of the world, Nashville Tennessee! And I want to share them with you guys! I don't know how many parts there will be...I took alot of pictures!Anyway, enjoy!!!!!  Today I'll be showing you the trip to Music City!

There were beautiful rivers all thru the state!

Downtown Memphis!

Can you believe that I found this little doe at one of our pitstops!?
Right by the gas station!
There never was a dull moment!

Ok....I got a little bored.

I thought this building in Memphis was soooo cool!

It was awesome shooting the wildlife everywhere!

These mums grew wild all over the place!

Steeples were in abundance as well!

After several hours, this sign was a good one!

The trip was so beautiful!

Everything was so green!

I just thought this was the coolest thing ever!
It says, "You are awesome. -John"
Just another cool thing about Tennessee!

I knew I would like Tennessee, but I didn't think I would love it this much! I am going back, and soon! I hope you enjoyed these photos, and please come back to see the rest! Follow, comment, and tell ALL your friends!

Food!!!!!!!!!!

One of the things I have so much fun taking pictures of is food!
It can be desserts, appetizers, or an entire meal.
The textures are the coolest to play with on your camera.
Different angles make the textures even more interesting,
and not to mention all the colors!

!WARNING! The following pictures may cause:
hunger, stomach grumbling, and watering of the mouth.
;) ;)

Can you say YUMMY!

Look at that crust!

Are you imagining the amazing smells?

Thick and creamy potatos!

Too sweet! In many ways!

Nothing says home like freshly baked bread!

Red Velvet

Just the way a marble cake should look!

So if you never thought of taking a couple shots of your dinner,
 think again!
There are some "sweet" ideas in the oven,
and some great "recipes" in the kitchen for truly amazing photography!
So grab your spatula, and get out your mixing bowl,
and don't forget to take pictures of your creations!
TTYL!

P.S. Follow, comment, and leave reactions!
I love hearing from you guys!
