About
One day I took this picture just trying to catch the gorgeous sun rays peaking through the massive clouds, and I didn't even see the windmill in the bottom left hand corner!
This picture right here is where it all started.
It's very simple really. I love photography. I've known it since my dad gave me my first camera. There's nothing in this world I would rather do than spend my days capturing images that will last many lifetimes.
As a student, artist, writer, photographer, dreamer and a girl, I have always been a very sentimental creature. The idea of being able to keep something forever has always appealed to me. I believe that's why I decided to become a photographer. I love the thought of being the only one in possession of a moment, a split second in time, a fleeting thought, day, person or experience. I consider myself a memory keeper. So you see this isn't just about taking pictures, this is about preserving time, space, and much more. I believe every time I look through the lens, I am preserving history.
My pictures showcase different sides of myself. They show what I pay attention to, and what is important to me. I like to find the beauty in the things no one would ever notice. They also show what I can do with a camera. My camera has become apart of me since deciding to become a photographer. Every time I get behind the lens, I'm looking for that next earth shattering shot. I have yet to find the last one, and that's why I keep shooting.
